So long to a friend I never met
Joe Murphy was an interesting man, who one day decided to get involved with Michael and Evo, the hosts of a few Podcasts I listen to (The Dragonpage, Slice of Scifi, Wingin' it). Pretty soon he was a staple on Wingin' it. He branched out as co-host of another podcast, The Kickass Mystic Ninjas. All these shows? I listen to them religiously, and Joe was the living Heart of the episodes he was in.
Joe Got Sick. The Big C. You know what I mean. It didn't slow him down, and it didn't sour him on life. He remained upbeat and friendly. He even showed up on Wingin' it in the weeks after his cancer was declared inoperable.
The Podcasting world lost a good man today. But as long as I live, he won't be forgotten. And many others share the sentiment.
A few people are trying to put together a permanent Charity in his name. He was a rare man, felled by a rare disease. Leiomyosarcoma, which is resistant to both chemo and radiation therapy.

There will be no show this week, in honor of Joe.
Goodbye, Joe Murphy. You are missed.
